$600-MILLION PLEDGED TO FIGHT TB

Bill Gates pledged that his foundation would spend an additional $600-million to fight tuberculosis on Friday and join a global effort designed to raise $31-billion to fight the disease, reports Reuters. According to the World Health Organization, the project will cost an estimated $56-billion over the next decade, compared with current spending of $25-billion. The Gates Foundation is now spending $300-million to fight the disease.
