July 27, 2006 | Read Time: 1 minute

Four charities set up to help survivors and families of those killed in the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks will receive 10 percent of the proceeds from ticket sales in the first five days of the director Oliver Stone’s new movie, World Trade Center, reports Reuters.

Half of the donation from the ticket sales will go to the World Trade Center Memorial Foundation. The rest of the donation will be divided equally among the New York Police and Fire Widows’ and Children’s Benefit Fund; the Tribute WTC Visitor Center; and Tuesday’s Children, a Manhasset, N.Y., charity that will use the money to provide social services and other aid to families of people who died in the attacks.
