The Art of Giving: Where the Soul Meets a Business Plan
by Charles Bronfman & Jeffrey Solomon

Charles Bronfman, a prominent Jewish philanthropist, and Jeffrey Solomon, president of Mr. Bronfman’s family foundation, say they wrote this book out of concern that too many donors give money to fulfill their social or business duties, out of guilt, or without much thought, rendering their contributions meaningless.

This book guides aspiring philanthropists through the steps of making a meaningful gift, such as how to decide what cause to support, how to structure gifts, understanding tax regulations, and how to work with nonprofit organizations.
