Actress Draws Jeers For Suing Charity

August 31, 2007 | Read Time: 1 minute

The Hollywood actress Geena Davis’s decision to sue a Duluth, Minn., charity has drawn mostly jeers from celebrity bloggers.

Ms. Davis accuses the group, Dads and Daughters, of allegedly taking her idea for a charitable program that deals with gender equity in children’s entertainment. On its Web site, the charity has denied the charges.

The lawsuit has made the Thelma & Louise star a target for scandal-loving celebrity watchers.

“Nothing says ‘I’m doing this out of the goodness of my gentle heart’ than throwing a temper tantrum over someone allegedly walking off with your charity idea,” writes Heather Cocks, on Defamer.com,
a celebrity gossip blog.

To make up your own mind about the case, the official complaint is available on the gossip site TMZ.com.
