Alaska Charity Worker Faces Theft Charges

A nonprofit employee in Alaska is accused of stealing $57,000 from the Alaska Council of School Administrators, where she worked, reports the Associated Press.
Juanita DeRose, who handled financial matters at the organization, was arrested this week on charges of first-degree theft. She had been fired after only nine months for unauthorized spending.
