ALLEGED BOSTON CHARITY SCAM

A couple in the Boston area is being accused of cheating about 25 to 30 local charities and churches out of money, food stamps, and toys, reports The Boston Globe. Police arrested Joseph F. Brennan at the end of last month, and they are still seeking Kimberly Dow in connection with the alleged crimes. According to the newspaper, police say complaints from charities “have come pouring in” since Mr. Brennan’s arrest. Neither Mr. Brennan nor Ms. Dow were quoted in the article.
