American Red Cross Will Promote Its Chief Operating Officer to CEO Next Summer

Cliff Holtz, chief operating officer at the humanitarian-aid group, will be promoted to president and CEO in July 2024. He has worked there since 2011.

Holtz will follow Gail McGovern, who plans to retire on June 30 after more than 15 years at the helm.

Community Foundation of the Ozarks

Winter Kinne will be the next president and CEO of the $427 million community fund. She has worked there for 18 years, and was most recently its vice president of development.

Kinne follows Brian Fogle, who is retiring after 15 years there.

National Christian Foundation Orlando

Rick Steinberger will be promoted from senior vice president of relationship management to CEO on January 1.

He will succeed Tim Seneff, who will remain an executive adviser and serve on the Board of Trustees of this organization that works with Christian donors to increase their giving.

More New CEOs

Kerri Fox has been named executive director and CEO of Resounding Joy, a music-therapy organization that serves active duty military and veterans, hospitalized children, and older adults, among others. She succeeds its founder and CEO, Barbara Reuer, who is retiring.

Erin Dreiling, senior marketing manager at the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta, has been tapped as executive director of the Atlanta-Fulton Public Library Foundation. She replaces Peter Pearson, who has served as interim executive director since 2022.

Other Notable Appointments

Kristine Grow, senior vice president at America’s Health Insurance Plans, has been appointed vice president of communications at Arnold Ventures.

Yvens Laborde has been promoted from medical director of global and community health to chief community medical officer at Ochsner Health, a nonprofit medical system in Louisiana.

Katherine Molina-Powell has joined NYC Kids RISE as chief of administration and finance. Most recently, she was chief financial officer at Acelero, a national early-education organization that operates Head Start services for families across the United States.

Ribkah Naga, founder and senior consultant at Atete Consulting, has joined Borealis Philanthropy as program officer for its Racial Equity to Accelerate Change Fund.

Hailey Nolasco, assistant deputy commissioner of intergovernmental and legislative affairs at New York City’s Department of Social Services, has returned to the Center for Justice Innovation as director of government relations. She previously worked there until 2022 as director of community-based violence prevention.

Departures

Eric Holzenberg will retire next year as director of the Grolier Club, a nonprofit organization for enthusiasts of books and the graphic arts. He joined the group in 1994 as librarian and became its director in 1997.

Mukhtar Ibrahim, who founded the Sahan Journal in 2019, plans to step down as publisher and CEO of the nonprofit newsroom that covers Minnesota’s immigrants and communities of color. He will stay on until a successor has been named.

Tom Tresser, who co-founded the CivicLab in 2013, is retiring as its vice president and chief operating officer.
