ARTS PATRON HONORED

Ted Berger, the former executive director of the New York Foundation for the Arts, will be honored tonight at the New York Society for Ethical Culture for his contributions to aspiring artists, reports The New York Times. Throughout his 25-year tenure, Mr. Berger, 65, approved nearly $23-million in fellowships for emerging playwrights, novelists, filmmakers, music composers, photographers, and other artists. He retired from the foundation on January 1.
