Barbara Bush’s Charitable Donation Benefits Son’s Company

March 24, 2006

Barbara Bush, the former first lady and mother of President Bush, has made a donation to hurricane-relief efforts, earmarking the money specifically for Ignite Learning, a company run by her son Neil, reports the Houston Chronicle. The amount of the gift has not been disclosed.

The Bush-Clinton Katrina Fund will use Mrs. Bush’s donation to introduce Ignite Learning’s educational-software program in schools that have taken in large numbers of students who are evacuees.
