October 23, 2014

Berkshire Hathaway vice chairman Charles Munger has donated $20.7-million worth of stock in the Warren Buffett-led investment company to the University of California, Santa Barbara, reports Bloomberg.

The 90-year-old investor’s gift of 100 Class A shares in the Omaha, Neb., firm was disclosed in a regulatory filing Tuesday. Mr. Munger has become a major benefactor of educational institutions and donated $110-million last year to the University of Michigan, where he studied mathematics in the 1940s. His grandson, also named Charles, attended the Santa Barbara campus.
