- The Open Philanthropy Exchange Forum, a group of technology companies that provide products and services for charities, will meet in Chicago on September 21 to discuss the non-profit data-exchange protocol it introduced this summer (The Chronicle, August 10). The protocol is a set of specifications for formatting data about charitable donations that would allow information about gifts to move easily between computer applications. - OMB Watch, a Washington policy organization, has posted a survey on its Web site that asks charity leaders to identify which issues of interest to the non-profit world are most important for the next president to deal with.
