* The Gilbert Center, a Seattle organization that provides technology help to charities, has created an e-mail discussion list on topics related to non-profit “intranets” — private, internal computer networks that can be used only by people associated with a particular organization. “Extranets,” which allow members of related organizations and others to have access to such networks, will also be discussed. To subscribe, send an e-mail message to autoshare@gilbert.org. In the body of the message, type the words: subscribe intranet. For more information, contact Michael Gilbert, Founder, Gilbert Center, 400 Harvard Avenue East, Suite 211, Seattle 98102-4900; (206) 726-1904; e-mail: mcg@gilbert.org.

* The Grant Doctors, a consulting company in California, has introduced an on-line directory of state agencies that make grants to non-profit groups (http://www.thegrantdoctors.com/states.htm). The directory provides links to the Web sites of agencies around the country that have grant information posted on the Internet. The company is working on a similar directory for federal agencies.
