Bits: Project Alchemy To Shutter

At the end of the year, Ed Batista plans to step down as executive director of the Nonprofit Technology Enterprise Network, in San Francisco, a national organization for individuals, charities, and businesses that provide technology assistance to nonprofit groups. The organization’s board of directors has begun the search for his successor. For more information: Go to http://www.nten.org.
Project Alchemy, a Seattle nonprofit organization that provides technology assistance to social-justice groups in the Pacific Northwest, will cease operations at the end of 2004. The chair of the group’s board of directors said in a statement that Project Alchemy was unable to raise sufficient funds.
