Bits: Public Interest Registry Names Alexa A.S. Raad CEO

  • The Public Interest Registry, the Reston, Va., group that manages the dot-org Internet domain used by nonprofit organizations, has appointed Alexa A.S. Raad as its new chief executive officer. Ms. Raad previously served as chief marketing officer at DotMobi, an Irish technology company.
  • CompuMentor, a San Francisco nonprofit organization that helps other charities use technology, has announced changes to its executive leadership. The position of chief executive officer will be shared by Daniel Ben-Horin, the organization’s founder; Rebecca Masisak, formerly vice president and general manager of TechSoup Stock; and Marnie Webb, formerly vice president of knowledge services.
