Book Offers Virtual-Volunteering Basics
February 24, 2014
Volunteers who work online doing digital tasks should be managed the same way as those who work in-person, say the authors of a new book and wiki about working with “virtual volunteers.”
The Last Virtual Volunteering Guidebook, by the consultants Jayne Cravens and Susan J. Ellis, updates their 2000 book on the same topic. The book is paired with a free online wiki to share information about technology, safety, training, and other issues.
