British Prime Minister Enters Charity Radio Contest

Tony Blair, British Prime Minister, tried to win about $19,000 for charity in a contest at a local radio station, reports The Times.
Mr. Blair called Virgin Radio’s “Who’s Calling Christian?” which asks listeners to convince celebrities to call the program. The celebrity who receives the most online votes wins £10,000 (approximately $19,000) to be donated to a charity of his or her choice. The winner will be announced on Monday.
Other celebrities who have participated in the competition include actor Jack Black, Oasis singer Liam Gallagher, and singer Rod Stewart.
