Britain’s Charity Commission is investigating possible links between suspects in the airplane terror plot foiled by British authorities and an aid group that raised money for Pakistani earthquake victims, reports Agence France-Presse.
The commission is in charge of monitoring Britain’s charities.
The aid group, Crescent Relief London, was created in 2000 by Abdul Rauf, whose two sons were recently arrested in connection to the conspiracy to blow up planes bound for the United States.
The charity appears to be linked to five other suspects, who may have worked as volunteers there. Crescent Relief London sent tents to Pakistan after last year’s earthquake.
