British Web-Site Businesses Offer Donation Options
April 18, 2007
A host of services in Britain allow people to give to charity without spending any money and with just the click of a mouse, reports The Independent.
These services include ippimail, an e-mail service that asks users to fill out a questionnaire when they sign up. Banner advertisements are then tailored to users based on their answers. Forty-five percent of advertising income goes to a charity selected by the user.
Another site, everyclick, is a search engine that gives half of its advertising revenue to charity. More than $300,000 has been given away so far.
