California’s annual report on commercial solicitors for the first time this year provides information on Internet fund-raising campaigns.

The report lists 66 online campaigns, all conducted by Charitableway, an Internet fund-raising company, in San Carlos, Calif., that recently announced plans to shut down.

The 1999 campaigns — which were conducted while Charitableway was getting started — produced $19,076 in donations, of which more than 91 percent was turned over to the charities involved.

Free copies of the report can be obtained at http://caag.state.ca.us/charities/publications/cfrreport.pdf, or from the Attorney General’s Public Inquiry Unit, P.O. Box 944255, Sacramento, Calif. 94244.
