Charity Auctions Oscar Gown

The dress worn by actress Keira Knightley to this year’s Academy Awards fetched $7,855 in an online auction to benefit Oxfam, reports the Associated Press.
The actress, who was nominated for a best-actress award for her role in “Pride and Prejudice,” donated the Vera Wang gown to the international charity to help pay for its work in East Africa.
