The Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation are teaming up on a data-driven project to assess development gains for women worldwide, reports The New York Times.
The effort, called “No Ceilings: The Full Participation Project,” was introduced Thursday at a New York University discussion on women’s and girl’s issues with Melinda Gates and Hillary Rodham Clinton, moderated by Chelsea Clinton.
The program will be a central pillar of Hillary Clinton’s philanthropic work, the Times says. It will use data from the World Bank, Google, and other sources to track changes for women since 1995, when the then-first lady gave a famous speech in Beijing equating women’s rights and human rights.
