Cloudera Foundation CEO to Lead Data Programs at Patrick J. McGovern Foundation

Claudia Juech, CEO of the Cloudera Foundation, has been named vice president of data and society at the Patrick J. McGovern Foundation following the merger of the two organizations. She will direct its programs for nonprofit groups in the field of data and artificial intelligence for social change.

Kansas Health Foundation
Teresa Miller, secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, has been named president and CEO of the $513 million foundation.
She will start her new role by June 1.
Sesame Workshop
The media and education nonprofit group has promoted three of its leaders.
Wanda Witherspoon has been named its first chief diversity, equity, and inclusion officer. She has worked at the nonprofit since 1997, most recently as vice president of public affairs and special events.
Kim Foulds has been promoted from senior director of international research and evaluation to vice president of content research and evaluation.
Maureen Trantham, vice president of operations, social impact, and philanthropy, is now senior vice president of operations, social impact, and philanthropy.

Amy Brady, director of corporate and foundation relations at the Pratt Institute, is now executive director of Orion, a nonprofit, environmental magazine.
Micah Gilmer has stepped in as interim CEO of the Mary Reynolds Babcock Foundation, following the departure of Justin Maxson. Gilmer is a member of the foundation’s Board of Directors and co-founder and senior partner of Frontline Solutions, a consulting firm in Washington.
Scott Hommel, chief operating officer at the America 250 Foundation, the nonprofit partner of the U.S. Semiquincentennial Commission, will now serve as its interim president and CEO. He succeeds Tony Rucci, who is departing after two years.
Rachel Stroer, chief strategy officer, has been promoted to president of the Land Institute. She will be the first woman to lead the organization for sustainable agriculture.
Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors
This group that advises individuals, families, corporations, and foundations on their annual giving has announced several new hires, retirements, and promotions.
Henrietta Bankole-Olusina has been hired as Nigeria program director. Previously she was head of corporate transformation and oversaw information technology at the Asset and Resource Management Group.
Heather Grady, vice president, was appointed practice lead for the Environment, Rights, and Global Development team.
Greg Ratliff has been promoted from vice president to senior vice president for advisory.
Walter Sweet, head of its advisory practice, is now senior vice president for the Sponsored Projects and Funds team. He succeeds Jane Levikow, who retired in January.
Walton Family Foundation
The foundation has named three leaders of its environment program’s team.
Pipa Elias, director of agriculture for North America at the Nature Conservancy, will serve as the program’s deputy director.
Heather D’Agnes, a program officer in the environment program with a focus on Indonesia, has been promoted to senior program officer and will lead its oceans initiative.
Kristin Tracz, senior program officer, is now also the Mississippi River team lead.

Michael Castleman, founder of Inference Strategic Advisors, has been named chief growth and transformation officer at WittKieffer, an executive search firm for health care, education, life sciences, and nonprofit groups.
Leah Dickerman, director of editorial and content strategy and co-lead of the creative team at the Museum of Modern Art, has been promoted to director of research programs, a new role at the museum.
Debra Fazio-Rutt, vice president of corporate communications at the Paramount Network, has joined the New York Women’s Foundation as vice president of strategic communications.
Yasmin Khan, chief development officer at the National Skills Coalition, has been named vice president of development at RepresentUs, a nonpartisan anticorruption organization.
Stephanie McLemore Bray, president and CEO of United Way California Capital Region, has been hired as chief engagement officer at the Seattle Foundation, effective May 10.
Sonia Quiñónez, Virginia partnerships and strategy director at the Meyer Foundation, is joining the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities as director of strategic grant making.
Damon Reaves will become head of education at the National Gallery of Art on June 7. Currently he is interim senior curator of education and public programs at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, where he has worked since 2011.
Mia Sussman has been promoted from vice president of fellowships to vice president of institutional advancement at Equal Justice Works. She succeeds Steve Denne, who has retired. In addition, Kristen Uhler-McKeown has been promoted to vice president of fellowships. Previously she was vice president of public programs.
Departures
Charles Barber, president and CEO of the Luzerne Foundation, will retire at the end of June. He joined the foundation in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., in 2000.
Rosemary Hanley plans to retire from the Little Bit Foundation on December 31. In 2001, she co-founded this organization, which works with low-income students in the St. Louis area. She has served as its executive director and CEO since 2012.
Kevin McKenzie intends to retire as artistic director of American Ballet Theatre at the end of 2022. He was appointed to the position in 1992.
