Colleges Scramble to Lure Top Fund Raisers

University fund raisers are increasingly concerned about their ability to attract talented people to their staffs, according to a new study, The Chronicle of Higher Education reports.
Eight-six percent of fund raisers at 72 public and private research universities said recruiting, retaining, and training top staff members was their biggest challenge, according to the study by the consulting group Edventures.
Seventy-one percent said engaging alumni and encouraging them to contribute to their annual funds was a top concern.
