New York’s Pearl Theater Company to Close. The nonprofit theater troupe filed for chapter 7 bankruptcy and will cease operations after 33 years, reports The New York Times. In an email, a spokesman said the group’s leaders believe they should have invested earlier in marketing and fundraising to diversify its audience.
