The time and resources devoted by Americans across the land confirm the generosity of our spirit and our aspirations for a better America. Instead of reflexively turning to government and its bureaucrats to ameliorate suffering, we should empower private organizations and dedicated volunteers to offer their caring, support, and guidance directly.”

Charity affiliations: Supports U.S.A. Harvest, a charity in Louisville, Ky., that works with churches and other organizations to provide food to the poor.


Spouse’s non-profit interests: Marilyn Tucker Quayle serves on the board of the Salvation Army U.S.A.’s national office. Has also promoted international disaster-relief work and efforts to fight breast cancer.
