DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS

Doctors Without Borders has suspended its operations in the southeastern Pool region of the Republic of Congo following threats against the organization’s staff, reports Medical News Today. In the past two months, the group’s ambulances have been stopped three times by armed men, and on two of the occasions the men threatened to harm staff members and stole their equipment. Doctors Without Borders has been providing emergency medical assistance and other support in the country.
