Donor’s Gift Leaves Tennis Great in Stitches

A doctor who bid $70,000 for the right to trade volleys with the tennis legends Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf got an unexpected bonus — offering emergency medical care to Ms. Graf.
Don’t Tell The Donor points out that the donor — a Texas doctor — pledged the money as part of a reality show called The Big Give.
For his bid, he received a tennis lesson with the couple.
But he got much more when Mr. Agassi accidentally hit Ms. Graf in the face with his racket during a volley.
The doctor ended up giving the bloodied Ms. Graf three stitches.
“How funny is it that a doctor was the one who won the auction to play with the superstar couple?” writes Don’t Tell The Donor’s author, who keeps anonymous. “ I guess it would have been funnier if the auction winner was a personal-injury attorney.”
