Ellis Island Nonprofit Group Cuts Staff in Face of Financial Woes

Save Ellis Island, the nonprofit group that, along with the Park Service, operates the historic immigrant processing center through which many new arrivals to the United States passed in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, has cut three of its seven staff members and is struggling to raise enough money to stay afloat, reports The New York Times.
