Family Services Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Shut Down

Grand Street Settlement’s Child and Family Center, in Brooklyn, N.Y., has lost its lease and will be forced to shut down on August 31, according to information on the group’s Web site. The center, which provides day-care, early childhood education programs, and other services to approximately 200 low-income families, learned from New York’s Administration for Children’s Services that the city does not intend to renew the center’s lease.
