Federal Funds Flow to Conservative Groups
March 22, 2006
Millions of dollars in federal funds have gone to groups that support the Bush administration’s agenda on abortion and other social issues, reports The Washington Post.
The administration has awarded at least $157-million in grants to organizations that share its conservative cultural agenda, says the newspaper. Most of the money came from two programs created after Mr. Bush took office in 2001: The Compassion Capital Fund and the Community-Based Abstinence Education grant program.
