Flinn and Libra Foundations Welcome New Leaders

Flinn Foundation
Tammy McLeod, vice president for energy-resource management at Arizona Public Service, a public utility, has been named president of the Flinn Foundation. She will replace Jack Jewett, who is retiring next month after eight years at the helm.
The foundation, established in 1965 by a Phoenix cardiologist and his wife, supports arts and culture, bioscience, civic leadership, and scholarships, focusing on causes in Arizona. The organization had about $204 million in assets in 2015, the most recent year for which information is available.
Libra Foundation
Crystal Hayling, former managing director of the Aspen Institute’s Environment Leaders Fellowship, is the foundation’s new executive director. Libra, with offices in Chicago and San Francisco, supports human-rights causes and maintains assets of roughly $200 million.
Opportunity Fund
Luz Urrutia, chief executive officer for the Americas at Dollar Financial Group, has been named CEO of the microfinance organization.
Path2Parenthood
Don Hribek, director of ENDO Patient Support Services at ENDO Serono, will be acting executive director.
Rockland Center for the Arts
Daly Flanagan, interim executive director of the center since the retirement of Julianne Ramos last year, has been named to the post permanently.
SightLife
Claire Bonilla, chief global officer of the organization, has been promoted to CEO.
University of Cincinnati Foundation
Peter Landgren, interim senior vice president for academic affairs and provost for the University of Cincinnati, will lead its foundation and serve as the university’s vice president for advancement.
Other notable appointments:
Cornell Williams Brooks, former president of the NAACP, will join the Brennan Center for Justice at the New York University School of Law as a senior fellow.
Anucha Browne, vice president of women’s basketball championships at the National Collegiate Athletic Association, will take the newly created post of chief strategy at and engagement officer at Unicef USA.
Theresa Fay-Bustillos, a strategy consultant, has been named chief program director at the Blue Shield of California Foundation.
Joanne Gold, senior director of development at Common Sense Media, will be chief development officer at Family House.
Dianne Harris, dean of humanities and a history professor at the University of Utah, will be a senior program officer in the higher-education and scholarship area for the humanities program at the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
Maegan Scott, a program officer at the Meyer Foundation, is leaving to join FMG Leading as a consultant.
Maria Alonso, senior vice president and Miami market manager of Bank of America, has been named president and CEO of United Way of Miami-Dade.
Departures
Rick Parnell, chief operating officer of the United Nations Foundation, is stepping down October 1 after 16 years on the job.
Donald Strait will step down as president of the Connecticut Fund for the Environment/Save the Sound on October 1. He will be succeeded by Curtis Johnson, the group’s executive director.
Legacies
Wayne Lotter, a wildlife conservationist who co-founded the PAMS Foundation, was shot dead August 16 in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Mr. Lotter, an antipoaching activist, was 51.
