Here are notable new requests for proposals (RFPs) specifically for the Covid-19 outbreak, compiled by the Chronicle:
City Parks Foundation
The City Parks Foundation will make at least $2.3 million in grants through its NYC Green Relief and Recovery Fund to nonprofit and community groups that provide essential maintenance, stewardship, public programs, and management of parks, gardens, and open spaces across the five boroughs of New York City. For nonprofit organizations with operating budgets over $10,000, the application deadline is June 1. For community groups with budgets under $10,000, applications are due June 12.
Enterprise Community Partners
Enterprise Community Partners is accepting letters of inquiry for grants through its Emergency Action for Resident and Partner Stability program, which will offer $2 million in relief grants and assistance to nonprofit groups nationwide that work with families in affordable-housing communities. Grants up to $150,000 each are available in this first round of grant making to help groups continue operations and meet their families’ immediate needs, such as rent, utilities, and other resident services.
Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities
The Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities is now accepting applications for grants from the Louisiana Culture Care Fund to provide emergency relief grants to humanities organizations in the state whose revenue has been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Grants will range between $3,000 and $20,000. Applications will be accepted through June 30 or until the fund is exhausted, whichever occurs first.
St. David’s Foundation
The St. David’s Foundation is making $10 million in grants through its Covid-19 Recovery Fund to organizations in central Texas. Priority will go to organizations that work with older adults at risk of social isolation; women, children, and vulnerable populations; rural communities; health and well-being, including telehealth and mental health; and youth. Applications are due August 13 for its second round of funding, and October 15 for its third round.
Women’s Foundation of Minnesota
The Women’s Foundation of Minnesota is accepting proposals for grants from its Covid-19 Women and Girls Response Fund. Emergency grants of up to $10,000 each will support organizations in Minnesota that aid women and girls and provide short-term financial assistance for basic needs, including child care, elder care, food, housing, transportation, health, and wellness, because ofdue to the effects of the pandemic. Applications for the third round of funding are due June 12; any applications received after that date will be reviewed on a rolling basis through the end of 2021.
