Foundation Supports Business Seminars for Arts Leaders
October 13, 2006
The Joyce Foundation, in Chicago, will give $95,000 in grants over two years to send leaders of midsize arts groups to business seminars, reports The Chicago Tribune.
The seminars, to be held in Atlanta, Chicago, New York, Phoenix, and Seattle, will be taught by faculty members from business schools at major universities.
The effort is aimed at training leaders of groups with annual budgets of $1-million to $5-million. Other foundations are expected to provide money for arts leaders to attend the training seminar, the newspaper said.
