Founder of Calif. Charity Ousted

Sister Claire Frawley has been ousted as head of St. Clare’s Home, an organization in Escondido, Calif., that she founded for battered women and children, after board members said they were concerned about personnel and financial decisions she made, reports The San Diego Union-Tribune.
Ms. Frawley said her dismissal as executive director of the organization, which has a $2.2-million budget, came because some board members were upset about decisions she made. She said she had done nothing wrong and that she planned to protest the board’s decision to ask her to leave the organization.
