Franklin Graham, the eldest son of evangelist Billy Graham and president of the nonprofit group Samaritan’s Purse, is raising his profile and expanding his reach after his father’s retirement last year, reports USA Today. This weekend, he will take the pulpit in New Orleans as part of an effort to raise the hopes of people in the hurricane-devastated city. Samaritan’s Purse, in Boone, N.C., will share the estimated $1.7-million in costs with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
