Gates Foundation Shakes Up Stock Holdings

In a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, in Seattle, reported that its $29-billion endowment held $3.83-billion in stock as of March 31, reports Bloomberg.
The foundation sold its shares—$23.1-million—in the India Fund, which invests in Indian companies. Of the foundation’s holdings, the largest stake is $310.2-million worth of stock in BP, the oil company, reports Bloomberg.
