Here are notable new grant awards compiled by The Chronicle:
St. David’s Foundation
More than $20 million to multiple organizations that provide health care and related services in central Texas, where a rising population is generating greater demand for services. Recipients include the Coalition of Texans With Disabilities, Meals on Wheels Central Texas, and the University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing.
California Institute for Regenerative Medicine
$2.5 million to the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California to develop stem-cell therapies to treat arthritis.
Tufts Health Plan Foundation
More than $1.1 million to community organizations in Massachusetts and Rhode Island that advocate on behalf of older adults.
