Guide to U.S. Foundations, Their Trustees, Officers, and Donors, 1999 Edition
Jose L. Santiago, Associate Editor
Deborah Oshun, Assistant Editor

These two volumes profile nearly 44,600 U.S. grant makers that give a total of almost $16-billion annually.

The volumes cover private, corporate, community, and operating foundations. The set’s publisher, the Foundation Center, gathered data mostly from the funds’ informational tax returns for the most recent fiscal year available.

A typical entry provides information such as the dollar value of grants paid, the value of the foundation’s assets, gifts received, and total amount spent on charitable purposes; application information; and the names and titles of officers, trustees, or directors.
