Guide to Services Available for Hurricane Survivors

Gulf Coast Recovery Resource Guide, provides individuals and nonprofit organizations in the Gulf Coast region with advice on where to seek support in recovering from Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. The guide currently lists 66 charities, government agencies, and other groups that are providing aid, and describes what types of services they offer. Child-care and family services, employment, financial assistance, housing, insurance, mental-health support, and help with taxes are among the 26 forms of assistance included. In addition to being available in hard copy, versions of the guide can also be downloaded from the publisher’s Web site. It is updated regularly online.
