GuideStar Unveils Web-Site Changes

March 26, 2009 | Read Time: 1 minute

GuideStar has revamped its online repository of charity data to make it easier for groups to post more information.

Organizations can for the first time add logos, photographs, and videos to their profiles on GuideStar, and the site now offers an easy way for groups to upload key documents, such as annual reports and financial statements.

The Williamsburg, Va., organization has also struck deals with two other Web sites to share the information they collect.

GuideStar users will now be able to access the profiles of local groups published by community foundations on a Web site called DonorEdge, and they will be able to see the reviews volunteers and other people familiar with individual charities post on another site, Great Nonprofits.
