Hospital System in Salinas, Calif., Announces Cuts

Salinas Valley Memorial Healthcare System, in California, has announced that it plans to lay off about 100 Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital staff members at the end of December, writes The Californian. Officials at the health-care organization say the cuts are necessary to balance the nonprofit’s budget.
