FAIRFIELD COUNTY COMMUNITY FOUNDATION
To provide emergency energy assistance to low-income families and elderly residents in Fairfield County, Conn.: $30,000 to Operation Fuel (Bloomfield, Conn.).
INASMUCH FOUNDATION
To provide emergency services, including food, housing, and clothing to those in need: $50,000 to Presbyterian Urban Missions (Oklahoma City).
LINCOLN FINANCIAL FOUNDATION
To feed hungry families: $85,000 to Community Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Indiana (Fort Wayne).
METLIFE FOUNDATION
To feed hungry people: $250,000 to be divided among America’s Second Harvest of the Tampa Bay (Tampa, Fla.), the Community Food bank of New Jersey (Hillside), the FoodBank for New York City, Foodshare (Bloomfield, Conn.), and the Rhode Island Community Food Bank (Providence).
METROWEST COMMUNITY HEALTH CARE FOUNDATION
For hunger-relief efforts in the MetroWest region of Massachusetts: $100,000 to be divided among food pantries in 21 communities.
NEW YORK COMMUNITY TRUST
To help New Yorkers who are hungry or homeless, and those facing eviction or foreclosure: $7,198,000 to be divided among eight nonprofit organizations.
SEATTLE FOUNDATION
To prevent evictions and foreclosures: $100,000 to Solid Ground (Seattle).
SILICON VALLEY COMMUNITY FOUNDATION
To provide legal services, information, and loan counseling to homeowners and renters facing foreclosure or eviction in California’s San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties: $500,000 to be divided among seven organizations.
SLOMO AND CINDY SILVIAN FOUNDATION
For hunger-relief efforts: $20,000 to Island Harvest (Mineola, N.Y.).
SUMMIT FOUNDATION (COLO.)
To help families with utilities, rent, food, and clothing: $28,000 to be divided among several organizations in Colorado’s Summit County.
JOHN T. VUCUREVICH FOUNDATION
For a program that feeds hungry children over the weekend: $60,000 to Community Food Banks of South Dakota (Rapid City).
WINSTON-SALEM FOUNDATION
To expand its foreclosure-prevention program: $52,000 to Consumer Credit Counseling Services of Forsyth County (Winston-Salem, N.C.).
