Policies and Programs to Promote Low-Wage Workers’ Steady Employment and Advancement, by Carol Clymer, Brandon Roberts, and Julie Strawn, examines recent efforts by state policy makers and local practitioners to find ways to help low-income workers remain employed and advance in their jobs. The authors use their experiences working on job-placement issues in Colorado, Florida, Oklahoma, Oregon, and Washington since 1997 to provide examples and lessons of use to nonprofit groups and foundations interested in work-force issues. The report is also available in portable document format from the Public/Private Ventures Web site.
