Earning a master’s degree in philanthropic studies is about to get easier.

The Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy is making its master’s degree program available online, starting with the fall 2017 semester.

“This new format offers our students convenience,” said Amir Pasic, the Eugene R. Tempel Dean of the school. “Online students will learn from the same expert faculty and study the same curriculum as students who are in on-campus classrooms but with more flexibility.”

Students will have the option of completing the program entirely online or taking a combination of online and on-campus courses.

Indiana University created the nation’s first school of philanthropy in 2012.

Applications are now being accepted for the online master’s program. The school will provide a free, web-based information session about the program on March 24 at noon Eastern time.
