Jeb Bush Returns to School-Reform Charity He Founded

The Foundation for Excellence in Education announced Tuesday that its founder, former Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush, has returned to the group as chairman and president, reports the Orlando Sentinel. Mr. Bush left the foundation, which advocates for school choice and other public-education changes, in early 2015 as he geared up for his White House bid, which ended in February.

The foundation, which Mr. Bush launched after his two terms as governor of Florida, has received financial backing from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Walton Family Foundation, and other major philanthropic supporters of school overhaul. Former secretary of state Condoleezza Rice, who led the charity in his absence, will remain on its board.
