Judge Sentences Charity’s Former Accountant to Jail
May 3, 2006
Abraham Alexander, a former accountant at the Cardiovascular Research Foundation, in New York, who admitted stealing more than $237,162 from the organization, pleaded guilty to grand larceny in March and on Tuesday was sentenced to two to six years in prison, reports the Associated Press.
Mr. Alexander admitted to using some of the stolen money to pay a dominatrix. The judge agreed to a reduced sentence if Mr. Alexander repays at least half of the money he stole from the foundation.
