Lawyer Questions Charity’s Election Activities
November 6, 2006
Mark Grueskin, a Colorado lawyer and Democrat, has sounded an alarm over the activities of the Colorado Good Government Initiative, a nonprofit group started by a Republican campaign organization that is working to encourage people to vote in tomorrow’s elections, the Denver Post reports.
Mr. Grueskin is questioning whether the Trailhead Group — which receives funds from Gov. Bill Owens, Bill Benson, and Pete Coors — improperly shared information with the charity. The organizations have hired the same consultant.
The state’s Republicans have denied that the groups have improperly shared information.
