Liberace Museum to Close

September 16, 2010

The Liberace Museum, in Las Vegas, which housed the showy musician’s costumes, cars, pianos, and other memorabilia, will close on October 17, after 31 years of operation, writes the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Operated by the Liberace Foundation, the museum hopes to organize a traveling exhibition, and the foundation plans to continue its scholarship program, which has awarded $6-million to young musicians since 1976, at a reduced level.
