Maine Nonprofit Group Sued

July 19, 2006

A nonprofit group that offers healing devices is being sued by Maine’s attorney general for allegedly making false claims about its products, reports the Boston Globe.

The Gentle Wind Project, in Portland, said that its products were proven to help people in hospital settings and were subject to rigorous testing, a claim the attorney general disputes. Calls to the charity were not returned, according to the article.
