Nonprofit groups in Maryland hope to pool their influence and raise their visibility and clout in their hometowns as well as with the state government, reports The Baltimore Sun. The Maryland Association of Nonprofit Organizations announced that it plans to create Voices of Maryland, an effort to draw money and attention to the “larger cause” of nonprofit groups in general, the newspaper said.
